Throughout this term the Southwold Primary School children years 3 to 6 have enjoyed weekly professional singing coaching funded by the Southwold Music Trust.
The children have given public performances on three separate occasions – for the school Harvest Festival in October, Snape Malting’s ‘The Big Sing’ day in early November, and are now looking forward to ytheir Christmas Carol Service! This will take place in St Edmund’s Church on Tuesday 19th December, 6pm. All are most welcome to join us for this very special occasion, which will be well attended by the whole school, plus many parents, carers, friends and relatives.
Among the Carols to be performed will be Once in Royal David’s City (including the traditional solo at the very start of the service), The Holly and the Ivy (including some verses for the congregation), Gabriel’s Message, and God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen. Do come and hear some beautiful Christmas music sung by our very own school choir and warm up your festive mood!
