Piano Circus: Sunday 24th June, 7:30pm, Southwold Arts Centre
The Southwold Music Trust are delighted to support a concert by the renowned new music ensemble Piano Circus in this year’s Southwold Arts Festival, in partnership with the Southwold Concert Series, on Sunday 24th June at 7:30pm.
Piano Circus comprises six pianists performing specially commissioned works by a wide variety of contemporary composers. Recognised as one of the world’s leading contemporary music ensembles for more than a quarter of a century, the group has performed around the UK and internationally at venues including the Barbican, Lincoln Centre, the BBC Proms, and Snape Maltings.
Piano Circus will bring to Southwold some of their most popular works, including Aerobatics over Lake Wanaka by Adrian Sutton, Steve Reich’s iconic Six Pianos, and Graham Fitkin’s epic trilogy, Log, Line, Loud.
