It was wonderful to be back in St Edmund’s Church last week to hear music live once again. Marije and Nathan’s concert was tremendously well received by the socially distanced audience in St Edmund’s, and we were all thrilled by the tremendous range of sounds and colours Marije expressed through her violin. Music from over three hundred years and numerous countries was featured, concluding with music from the present day in Donald Grant’s celtic-infused Bha là file ann (There was a different day) which provided a poignant and moving ending to a wonderful hour of music.
Marije and Nathan will be back in Southwold church on Tuesday 6th July for another concert at 1pm. As is now the ‘new normal’, tickets must be booked in advance, and numbers are strictly limited due to social distancing measures. The online box office can be found here.
For those who are unable to attend in person, or prefer to watch from the comfort of their own home, the link for the livestream can be found by clicking here.
Listening is free at the point of use, but if you enjoy the music we provide please do consider making a donation to help us cover the running costs of the concerts and making the livestream. Your support not only enables us to perform live in St Edmund’s Church, but also stage our special events for Southwold Primary School, and stream music direct to local care homes completely free of charge. You can donate via Just Giving here or on our website here.
We hope you enjoyed the last concert and really look forward to seeing you on July 6th for another!
