Thank you to everyone who attended the New Year’s Day Concert in St. Edmund’s Church.
The church was completely full, even after we had put out extra seats in the chancel and choir stalls – and there was still a waiting list! We are thrilled that this event has now become such a firm fixture in the local calendar.
We were overwhelmed by the generosity of the audience members with the retiring collection – thanks to these donations, the event raised £1013 for the Southwold Music Trust.
This is a fantastic outcome and gives the Trust a tremendous boost for our ongoing commitment to music education and activities in Southwold Primary School, and great hope for other plans and projects – the perfect way to start the new year!
A final thank you to the many volunteers who gave up so much of their time and efforts to make the concert happen and run so smoothly.
